Beauty Bay Haul For £50

I cannot tell you how long I have been wanting to do some sort of haul on here. I see so many people write and vlog about hauls that I really want to share with everyone what I bought!

The clue is in the title. As well as wanting to do clothing hauls, which I will probably do more in the summer, I find makeup interesting as you get to see what people like and don’t like before testing them out yourself. I have wanted to buy makeup from BeautyBay for so long but never have either the money or the time to buy. I thought I would start off with some basic things to try out before dabbling into the brands I want to keep using and not. So for £50 worth of shopping (technically £51…) lets get started.

Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin      – £16

lipstick

I never thought I would love something this much even though I wish there was more choice of nudes. It feels so creamy when you put it on instead of being fully matte, but eventually it dries down and when he says it lasts…it lasts! I had some on my teeth the next day and couldn’t even brush it off haha!

BH Cosmetics Nude Blush 10 Palette    – £8.95

blush

This one im kinda annoyed about kinda not. The palette looks amazing and looks like there is a lot of shades but by even doing a single tap on a brush, it still comes out so pigmented. The only shade that just about suits me is the lightest one (top right) and even then it feels like its too much. Saying that, it is a good palette if you are a MUA and you can use it for eyeshadow but other than that for pale complexions like mine, you can make use of one or two of the colours.

RCMA No Colour Setting Powder    – £13

rcmaI love this stuff!! It is exactly what everyone else is raving about. It feels light on my skin like I am not wearing any powder. The only downside is that there isn’t anywhere to put the product once it comes out. I end up shaking it so it comes out the top and using whatever is there instead of tapping it somewhere like a lid.

Makeup Revolution Hyaluronic Setting Spray   – £6

sprayI was ‘uming’ and ‘ahming’ about this product as it had mixed reviews but I thought Id try it anyway. For £6 its not exactly breaking the bank either to try compared to something like the Urban Decay ones. This I’m still unsure about. It’s meant to be hydrating and plumping and for me that means give me some sort of dewy effect but it sets it, I then fan it and then it looks exactly the same as it did before I sprayed but then it lasts all day?? I don’t know – I think I need to give it another go and test out different products on my face with it.

Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder    – £3.75

highlight

This highlight looks so pigmented advertised but I think its all about that first layer because once you get past it, most of the pigment has gone. This product is something I would recommend to someone who wants to start wearing highlight or likes it subtle. If you set your face then apply it, yeah it looks better but its not as good as my other drugstore highlighters I own. For less than £4 as well it does work but for me next time, I will probably use it when I just want a little glow such as in the summer.

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer in C4    – £4

concealerSurprisingly, finding my exact shade online was easier than I thought as this matches exactly to my skin. It is worth the hype and the money. One of the only downsides to it is that it dries fast and also dries matte. Its not completely matte where its so dry under my eyes but after a while it just takes the time to blend. I wear it most days as a ‘foundation’ and if they were to come out with a dewy-er finish (I don’t know if they have already or not) then it will be more for me but at £4 I’ll defiantly be purchasing it again.
