Last weekend we stayed in Cornwall for three days as part of our anniversary, 4 years (!!), and although it was nice to celebrate it differently it was SO NICE just to get away from everything. We decided on Bude as it was close and somewhere different to go to and kind of a last minute booking.
Bude was lovely in the sense that you can walk basically everywhere in the town and spot a new bar or takeaway place on the corner and only having to walk back to the apartment for less than five minutes. Being near the sea is also amazing even though it wasn’t as busy as the summer months due to the cold winds and lack of sunshine! Also, who doesn’t love going clubbing when away?? Especially when the club is DREADFUL but hey ho, the company was much better.
We travelled to Padstow and Boscastle the following day to have a little mooch around before heading back out for our anni meal on the evening. And although we both ate pudding who could say no to a bit of cake too in celebration ?!
Finally before heading home, we stopped off at Barnstaple and Ilfracombe as part of our scenic route back instead of the dull M5.
