How to : Scrapbooking

What you will need:

  • Scrapbook
  • Coloured bits of card
  • Coloured pens
  • Double sided tape
  • Glue Stick

I have always collected photos and little things to put into a memory box but I thought why not turn it into a scrapbook to look back on in later years!? I’m forever taking photos, whether it is for the next Instagram post or even for a new blog post, but I thought instead of putting all the photos on the gram, id share my best and put them in an album.

Hobbycraft is the BEST place ever for an arty junky like myself, as I’m always thinking creatively about ideas when browsing through the paints and even the Christmas section (which I am also exited about!!!!!). So, I stumbled to the scrapbook section and bought a large white scrapbook, some coloured card and some coloured pens and had the idea to put together like a photo album with events throughout the past year which have been some highlights.

IMG_3840As well as the annoying cat climbing all over your stuff every two seconds, I thought it was quite fun to decorate a page for each lifetime event starting with my 18th birthday last year. The photos I used were from LALALAB which only took 3 days to be delivered in which I printed photos 6X4 as well as polaroid style to mix up the look of each page.

(Use the code PGGAEG51 to get £5 into your LALALAB account to use for next time!) 🙂

Scrapbooking to me is the arty side of a photo album as you can play around colours and shapes with the photos without it turning into a collage as such, but still showing the best times and memories to look back on and it defiantly will be a reoccurring feature with more exiting trips and events to come.
