This was meant to be up a lot sooner than this since coming back from Boardmasters last weekend, but I thought I would share some sort of festival hack/guide before the festival season is over – come back already!!
Makeup. I’ve always been flicked with the idea of experimenting with it but when it comes to a festival why not go all out?! Bring out all the glitter & your fave highlighter. All about that gloooooooww!!
I’d thought I share what I basically wore for all three days of the fest and try and help festival goo-ers at their next festival. This look worked for me and lasted all day (with the help of my bestie Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray)
This look was super simple and it was only a ten minute jobby. No foundation at all just a bit of concealer – the one I used was Maybelline Fit Me in ‘120’ even though it was light on me as I was away the week before in Menorca, however it is normally very dark on my pale skin. I then set everything with Mac Studio Fix powder in NC15.
I also used Rimmel Glam Bronze for a bit of contouring and bronzer around my face before using the Solstice pallete from Sleek for highlighting along the cheekbones as a base before glitter application. Who doesn’t love this highlighting palette???
Finally, for eyes. My last minute buying lead me to the Rimmel 02 – state of grace eyeshadow palette. It has a bright purple which screamed to me as I knew it would bring out my blue eyes. For mascara I used the Maybelline Lash sensational in brown (yes, I didn’t know it was brown when I bought it but its not noticeable at all!). And, for ma ayybrowz I used the Kabrow by Benefit in the shade 4.
GLITAAAAA TIMEE! I used the highlighter as a base so it also gives that extra glow at the bottom before adding Vaseline (DIY, I know) before adding my NYX Glitter Brilliants on top. Silver all the way for me. Especially when it’s near the eyes as it makes the purple on the lid stand out too.
The three colours I bought were GLI09, GLI10 & GLI11.
